Marquis Dendy, who ranks second in the world this year in the long jump, placed second at the New Mexico Indoor Classic in Albuquerque with a third-round leap of 25-9.50 (7.86m). Dendy had a jump of 26-9.50 (8.13m) on Jan. 19 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational.
